Automated Fence Gate
HAIR!
This project required researching chain link fence parts and construction, as well as the creation of a custom control box to allow a barbed wire gate to open automatically. Video coming soon!
Senior Project: "Intro to LEDS" Class
As a senior project, I hosted a master class that I called "Intro to LEDS". The first class consisted of a presentation about what LEDs are, how they work, and a crash course on making circuits with them. The second class was a practical walkthrough of using Arduinos to control individually addressable LEDs: A skill useful for scenery, props, and costumes.
Below you can find the presentations I made, as well as a link to example code that we worked through using the FastLED 2.0 library for Arduinos.
Cyber Wings
The final Cyber Wings were created with an ultra-light yet stiff combination of foam core and laminate. A Wii nunchuck run up the sleeve of the jacket allowed a user to interface with the Arduinos on the back, turning on the lights and allowing the wings to be flapped up and down via a 35kg/cm servo motor. Not pictured are alternate lighting modes that included other colors and a flashing "luster mode". In an ideal world, this project would likely have a third iteration with a much better designed back attachment, and cleaner electronics management.

Electronics - Class Projects
Seen here in order are a contact switch circuit, a morse code machine capable of turning any string of letters into morse code output on a buzzer and light, a proximity sensor with an LED output tuned to turn on a new light whenever the item is an inch closer, and an asteroid game running on an LCD screen. If you are interested in the coding of said game, which was controlled with a Wii nunchuk, click on the link below.
